Programs that support trade waste compliance
Programs to support compliance with trade waste agreements.
Trade waste agreements set hard limits on what you can discharge. A biological program upstream of the connection point gives operators more room to move - lowering BOD/COD, reducing FOG carryover and helping flatten the discharge profile.
The challenge
- Variable load pushing against agreement limits
- FOG carryover from upstream processes
- Surcharge exposure on borderline parameters
Our approach
- Upstream biological load reduction
- Targeted FOG dosing before the connection point
- Sampling-aligned dosing schedule
What good looks like
- Reduced exposure to trade waste surcharges
- More predictable discharge profile
Inside a grease trap: where biology does the work.
A grease trap separates fats, oils and grease (FOG) from wastewater by letting solids settle and FOG float, so cleaner water can pass through to the drainage system. Biological dosing works on the FOG and sludge layers between pump-outs, slowing build-up and keeping the trap operating closer to design.
